Uses a standard 52-card deck (often multiple decks shuffled together in casinos).
Cards rank in the usual order: 2 low → Ace high.
You place a bet before any cards are dealt.
Dealer gives you one card and takes one card for themselves.
If your card is higher → you win even money on your bet.
If the dealer’s card is higher → you lose your bet.
If the cards tie → you choose either:
Surrender: lose half your bet, round ends.
Go to War: match your original bet (so you now have two equal bets).
Dealer deals one to you and one to themselves.
If your card is higher or equal → you win even money on the raise bet, and the original bet pushes (returned to you).
If the dealer’s card is higher → you lose both bets.
If the cards tie again → you win both bets.
Tie bet pays 10:1.
