A Chinese game similar to baccarat.
A Chinese game similar to baccarat.
2+ players.
One player is the banker.
Standard 52-card deck.
Aces = 1
2–10 = face value
J, Q, K = 10
Note: Scoring is like baccarat, only the units digit counts. See below.
Each player, including the banker, is dealt 3 cards face-down.
Players reveal at the same time (or one by one if banker is comparing).
Three Gong
Any three face cards (J, Q, K).
Example: K♠ Q♥ J♦.
Ties broken by highest single card rank (K > Q > J). If still tied, use suits: ♠ > ♥ > ♦ > ♣.
Mixed Gong
Any combination of 10, J, Q, K (not all face cards).
Example: 10♣ Q♦ K♥.
Same tiebreak rules: highest rank, then suit.
Numeric Hands (0–9 points)
Add the 3 cards, keep only the last digit.
Example: 7 + 9 + 5 = 21 → 1 point.
Ranked 9 (best) down to 0 (worst).
Tiebreaks: highest single card, then suit if still tied.
All players place bets.
Dealer deals 3 cards to each player.
Reveal and compare to banker:
If player’s hand outranks banker → player wins even money.
If banker outranks player → banker collects bet.
If tie → stand off (neither win or lose).
Rotate banker after a set number of rounds, or let banker continue if they win (your choice).
Three Gong: J♦ Q♠ K♥ → beats any Mixed Gong or Numeric.
Mixed Gong: 10♠ J♣ Q♥ → beats all numeric totals.
9 points: 9♣ 7♦ 3♠ = 19 → 9 points.
5 points: 4♥ 10♦ A♠ = 15 → 5 points.
0 points: 10♠ 5♣ 5♦ = 20 → 0 points.
