“Call” – Matching the current bet.
“Check” – Passing the action without betting.
“Raise” – Increasing the current bet. Usually followed by the amount.
“Pot” – Only a valid declaration in pot limit games, and declares you are calling the last bet and raising an amount equal to the pot.
“All-In” – Declaring you’re betting all your chips. Must be said clearly.
Verbal Binding Rule – At most tables, clear verbal declarations (bet, call, raise) are binding, even if chips aren’t moved yet.
Note: Announcing "Call and Raise", or "I'll see you and raise you" like in the movies, is not allowed. The Call is binding and the Raise is ignored.
Check Gesture – Tapping the table with fingers/knuckles or motioning in a wave to the players left.
Fold Gesture – Pushing your cards forward face-down toward the muck. In stud games, turning your up cards face down is considered a fold.
All-In Gesture – Pushing your entire stack across the line or sliding it forward.
String Bet – Pushing chips forward in multiple motions without declaring—illegal unless verbally announced.
Table Tap (Respect) – Tapping the table after a hand to acknowledge a good play or “nice hand.”
Two Hand Face Palm – I folded the nuts.
